Day 14 – Pretty Sweet Ice Cream

It’s of no suprise to anyone that I love ice-cream. And in the days before our ice cream maker was accidently put in the wrong box and donated to the Op Shop, ( oops!) we invented quite a few memorable icecream combinations. But this version, created by Neve, is my fav at the moment. So at the risk of becoming  yet another foodie blog hybrid, I am going to pass on Neve’s secret recipe.

Fruit Sorbet

For four people, you will need:

  • 4 frozen bananas, chopped into small pieces. ( Believe me when I say, you should peel/chop the narnies before popping them in the freezer! I put them in a zip lock bag and yes, they can be the ones that turned brownish in the fruit bowl)
  • I cup of frozen berries (We love raspberries but any combination of frozen berries would be fine).
  • 1 good dollop (read tablespoon) of Greek Yoghurt.

Here’s how:

Place fruit/yoghurt in the food processor and blend. It takes a few minutes to reach a good, smooth consistency. You might need to stop half way through and scrape down the sides of the bowl. Yep, it’s that simple! We serve it in brightly coloured china cups ( from T2) with another dollop of yoghurt and toasted muesli on top or just plain. Just frozen fruit, that’s all. Too easy and so so pretty! Enjoy!
