An Underwater Writing Prompt!

24 Mar

Welcome to Monday’s Muse! Every Monday morning of the school term in 2014, Write Away With Me will post a writing and/or storytelling activity that you can try with your class or your children at home.

Lately I’ve become a little obsessed with collecting images of statues so I thought I’d share this obsession with you. Here’s are some images of underwater staues to inspire your students’ writing this week.

Start by collecting words and phrases related to the underwater setting.

Then head off into the world of character.

  • Who might this character be?
  • How did they get there?
  • Where are they going?
  • What are they looking for?

Then head off into the world of story…

I’d love to read some respomses so please feel free to share them here.

Happy Writing!
